Last January, a 28-year old man was shot outside an apartment building near Concord’s downtown. More than a year later, the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is still investigating the death of Terrence Wigglesworth.

The shooting took place outside an apartment building at 46 Warren Street on Jan. 16. Concord Police responded to reports of a disturbance and gunshots around 11:30 a.m. Wigglesworth was pronounced dead at the scene after receiving medical treatment, and an autopsy later determined that the cause of his death was a single gunshot wound in his chest.

The day after the shooting, the Attorney General’s Office said it was investigating the “exact circumstances surrounding this incident,” including the “potential of a self-defense claim.”

One year later, no one has been charged and little new information has been released.

“At this point, the final report and analysis are under review. We expect the final report regarding this incident to be available soon,”Assistant Attorney General Scott Chase wrote in an email to the Monitor this week.

The investigation into a more recent Concord shooting is also ongoing – 31-year-old Cody Tewell was shot in the Alton Woods apartment complex off Loudon Road in October. Autopsy results showed that Tewell died from gunshot wounds to the head and neck.

“We’re still wrapping up the final report and analysis. We were hopeful to have it done before the first of the year, but balancing our assignments has pushed it back slightly,” Senior Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Agati wrote in an email to the Monitor last week.
