Can anyone tell me how Unitil is able to raise rates 147% in one month? My rate on January bill was $0.17518/KWH. In December and the six months earlier it was only $0.07091.

Of course raising rates in the winter when usage is higher even accentuates the “hurt.” Obviously our representatives are unaware, or don’t seem to care what decisions the PUC makes. I feel for those that cannot afford these surprises.
