I am writing this letter to request the House Executive Departments and Administration vote ‘NO’ to the HB 1566 amendment which would abolish the Prescription Drug Affordability Board. This board was created in a bi-partisan way in 2020 to monitor changes in the cost of prescription drugs and to have transparency within the drug industry. Doing this keeps all New Hampshire residents informed of any price increases that may affect their ability to afford the medications they need.
The people of New Hampshire need fair drug prices. They should not have to choose between lifesaving prescription medications and food. It is important to nearly 85% of New Hampshire residents over 45 who are from all political parties to purchase affordable medications. I am asking you to vote this week against abolishing the New Hampshire Prescription Drug Affordability Board.
