■The Chichester Planning Board will meet on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. for a continuation of a public hearing on 46 Dover Road, CM Truck & Trailer with the purpose of considering whether to revoke a plan previously approved.
■Sign-ups are open for baseball and softball through the Chichester Youth Association (CYA). Multiple levels and age groups are offered, including T-Ball, Rookies, Minors, Majors as well as Softball. It’s easy to sign up on the CYA website Chichesteryouth.com. Sign-ups will be open until March 7 but those who sign up early may be able to participate in an indoor Spring Training Day later in March. The season is just a few weeks away so register soon so teams can be formed. ■The Board of Selectmen will meet Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. to finalize the budget and warrant articles.
■The Trustees of Trust Fund will meet Feb. 18 at 9 a.m. at town hall. Town Hall will be closed on Monday Feb. 21 for President’s Day.
■The Chichester School Board will meet Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. at the school. Doug Hall will be giving a presentation on the NH School Funding Fairness Project and the impact that will affect our schools.

■Two teachers from Chichester Central School have announced their retirement. Mrs. Douglas and Mrs. Dockham will be retiring in June at the end of the school year. Their tenure will always be remembered as being dedicated to students.

■Chichester key basketball players playing for Pembroke Academy Spartans are Mike Strazerri and Mike Pitman. These athletes push themselves when PA is on the line. Their ability to score has their team looking to be a top contender at the playoff.
■The Chichester School Annual School District Meeting is scheduled for March 5. In the last two years, childcare was not provided because of COVID 19. A brief survey of childcare is located on the school website, please complete by Feb. 18 to determine childcare for the local meeting.
■Live & Let Live Farm Rescue was highlighted in the Non-Profit Spotlight for the month of February with the Suncook Valley Business Directory. L&LLF is situated on 70 acres in Chichester and will celebrate 25 years of operations providing life-saving and rehabilitation services to various types of animals.
■The Chichester Library Down Under Bookstore is open during regular library hours, with the exception of the two days before a scheduled book sale. There is a limit of five people and masks required. Most items are under $1.
■The Chichester Building Inspector has applications online at the town website for building permits, elect-plumbing-mechanical permits and driveway permits.
■School and Town elections and zoning amendments will be voted on March 8 at the first part of the annual meeting. To receive an absentee ballot application contact the town clerk at 798-5350. An absentee ballot application will be mailed to you and when returned an absentee ballot will be sent. You can also go to town hall and pick up your application.
■Clarkson University has named Jeffrey Wagner as a presidential scholar for the fall semester.
■The school annual meeting will be held March 5 at the school. You must be a registered voter to vote on the budget and warrant articles. The Supervisors of the Checklist will be meeting on Feb. 26 at town hall (time to be determined) to accept voter registration. The town clerk is available to accept voter registrations during office hours.
■The 3rd and 4th-grade girls basketball games are wrapping up. Wonderful participation by the girls. The team may not have the largest score but the enthusiasm and fun they had made it up. Thanks to coaches and parents for their help.

■The Chamber of Commerce will not be sponsoring the “in person” Meet the Candidates Night this year. All Candidates should receive a letter from the Chamber when registering at the Town Hall asking them to submit an introductory letter that the Chamber will submit to The Post and also post on the Town and Chamber websites. This is to help the candidates get their name out and also to help the public to know who is running for elected positions. ■There are some changes happening at Pittsfield Area Senior Center! Starting in March there are going to be new hours operation: Monday and Wednesday through Friday (8 a.m. to 1 p.m.) and Tuesday (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.). Bingo (Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 1 a.m.), Community Lunch (Mondays and Thursdays at 11:30 a.m.), Cribbage (Wednesdays from 10 to 11:30 a.m.), Art (Fridays from 10 a.m. to noon), Book Club (the fourth Friday every month from 10 to 11:30 a.m.), and Exercise: Walking (Mondays and Wednesdays through Fridays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.). No walking during Bingo.
■At the Senior Center on Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. is the Book Club. Let’s get together to read and talk about books. The first meeting will just be a discussion about what books the group would like to read and discuss throughout the year. The club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month. ■Do you want a safe, flat, and temperature controlled place to walk? Come to the Pittsfield Senior Center to walk. Because we are in a warehouse there is plenty of space to walk. If you walk around the center and the church sanctuary eight times you have walked about a mile. The Center hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. The only time that is not available to walk are Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. So please come in and get your exercise safely.
■Volunteers are needed at the Senior Center! We need volunteers for different days of the week, and different times, depending on the task being done. The work is easy and gratifying and only takes one to two hours a week. Training is provided, if interested please call 435-8482.
■Notice is hereby given in accordance with NH RSA 31:95-e that the Board of Selectmen will conduct a hearing to receive public comment concerning the acceptance of a Nitrox Pump for the Fire Department from the Pittsfield Firefighters’ Association, as the value is in excess of $5,000. The public hearing will be held at 6:15 p.m. on Feb. 22 at the Town Office.
■The Town of Pittsfield’s Winter Parking Ban on town roads is effective now through April 15. This ban prohibits parking in or on the town’s roads or right of way between the hours of 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. The purpose of this parking ban is to allow the winter or inclement weather maintenance crews unobstructed routes for snow removal and ice control, to maintain effectiveness of their routes.
■New members are needed for the PHS Alumni Association. If anyone is interested in joining the leadership committee of the Alumni Association (only four meetings per year), please email us at PHSAlumni@pittsfieldnhschools.org. We would love to have you join us.
■The Pittsfield Historical Society’s 2022 calendars are still available. The theme of the 2022 calendar honors the men and women of Pittsfield who have served in the Armed Forces. It contains 26 wonderful photographs of servicemen, servicewomen, and various memorials located throughout Pittsfield. As well as provide a brief history of our loyal soldiers who fought for their country. Although there were soldiers from Pittsfield who fought in the Revolutionary War, the earliest image available to the Society is of Asa Bartlett, a captain in the Civil War. The calendar ends with Richard A. Brooks, a corporal in the Vietnam War. In between you’ll find history, insight, and perhaps even a relative! Calendars are available for sale at the Town Hall, Josiah Carpenter Library, and at the Historical Society’s new museum on Oak Street on most Tuesday mornings (9 a.m. to noon).
