Concord Police have arrested a woman charged with stealing from tip jars around downtown Concord.

Police arrested 44-year-old Aviva Kollangi on Thursday morning and charged her with five counts of unauthorized theft by taking or transfer and one count of attempted theft by unauthorized taking or transfer. Detectives identified Kollangi from reports and video footage of a woman taking money from tip jars at downtown businesses.

Dos Amigos Burritos, Capitol Craftsman Romance Jewelers, Siam Orchid and the Granite State Candy Shoppe all reported tip jar thefts.

Kollangi was released on bail and is set to be arraigned on March 28 at Concord District Court.
