In 2020, Donald Trump was quoted in the Washington Post, as noting that if voting was made easier, Republicans would never get elected. The Republicans, heeding the wisdom of these words, have made a concerted effort, both locally and nationally to make voting more difficult and sadly, mostly for people of color.
This is the kind of illogical logic the Republicans are especially good at these days. Of course the real answer is to make voting easier for all citizens and for the Republican party to present a platform on which the majority of citizens will want to vote. But then, maybe it’s just easier to rig the system.
