Mr. Bunker, I’m not Mr. Annal but I would be glad to respond. In your letter you mention George Soros and his contributions to Democrats. A counterpoint to that might be the Koch family. I have always thought conservative was a strange name for a movement that has come to espouse such extreme views. Speak truth to power. Would that include reminding those in power that there is no widespread voter fraud, and (according to any reputable poll) the majority are against gerrymandering, and voter suppression.
Additionally, they are in favor of women controlling their own bodies, and common sense gun laws. Conservatives seem to have no issue supporting minority views when it suits their aims. Defunding the police. Admittedly a terrible phrase and should have never been used. But most people do not want to defund the police. They would like to defund the militarization of the police and provide funds to support police when dealing with mental health and domestic violence issues. Two areas that often put police at great risk. Violent crime is up but down considerably from its peak in the 1990s. Even the cities of New York and Chicago which had the largest increase in crime are well below where they were in the past. So Mr. Bunker you are absolutely entitled to your view of the world but it does not always square with reality nor are the Democrats responsible for all things evil.
