Two Villages Art Society will present “Reawakening: Work by the Women’s Caucus for the Arts NH,” from March 18 to April 9 at its Hopkinton gallery.

“As sunshine and warmth return to the earth in spring, so we reawaken to our lives,” said WCA/NH Exhibitions Committee Chairwoman Linda Greenwood. “The theme not only illustrates our reawakening of spring, but it also represents an illustration of memories that remind us again of passions lying deep.”

“Reawakenings” is a mixed media exhibit featuring 30 members of WCA/NH, a chapter of the national Women’s Council on the Arts. The organization promotes the advancement of women in the visual arts through educational programs, networking, and opportunities to exhibit their work.

“I feel a deep alignment with the WCA/NH mission,” says Alyssa McKeon, Two Villages Art Society president. “Both organizations welcome artists from all levels of mastery and a wide variety of mediums. We are thrilled to host their spring show, sharing the work of talented women artists with our community”.

“Reawakening” is on display at the Bates Building, 846 Main St., in Contoocook village. The gallery is open to the public Thursday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. There will be an opening reception with the artists and live music March 19 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Two Villages Art Society  was founded in 2019 as an organization for artists, art lovers, art collectors, art educators, and all who value art as a crucial component of a vibrant, welcoming community. Its gallery on Main Street in Hopkinton offered events as “the House of Art” prior the founding of the nonprofit TVAS. In addition to exhibits and sales, TVAS provides artist meet-ups, educational programs, and cultural events. Membership is open to all, and admission to the gallery is free.
