Maggie Hassan is working to lower costs for Granite Staters by proposing a gas tax holiday for the rest of the year. Not only would this save Granite Staters eighteen cents per gallon, but Sen. Hassan has also successfully pushed the Biden administration to release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, which will help lower energy prices. These are solutions that will directly benefit New Hampshire. But what have her opponents Chuck Morse, Kevin Smith and Don Bolduc done? Nothing.
Their answer is just more money for Big Oil companies. The Republican Senate candidates Chuck Morse, Kevin Smith and Don Bolduc have made it clear that they are more focused on pandering to the whims of Mitch McConnell and his buddies in Big Oil than actually helping lower costs for Granite Staters. All three have repeatedly come out against Hassan’s proposal to lower gas prices for New Hampshire families. I thought Republicans supported tax cuts, but I guess these guys don’t. They want more of our hard earned money to go to oil companies while keeping our gas taxes high. I got a new name for Chuck Morse, Kevin Smith, and Don Bolduc: they’re tax and spend Republicans.
