The final outs on the baseball and softball diamonds have been made, the last goals on the lacrosse fields have been scored, and the concluding serve on the tennis courts have happened.

The spring sports season has ended and, thus, the entirety of the 2021-22 sports season has concluded. The past season marked another year closer to normalcy since the pandemic started in 2020 and saw sports amongst other activities sidelined.

This spring saw some of the best competition throughout the school year. Almost all of the schools within the Monitor’s coverage area played in postseason tournaments across spring sports and seven teams played for championships.

With the season’s end, it’s time to announce the spring season’s athletes of the year.
