Karen Coulters, a Weare author of the award-winning novel, Hope From Daffodils, published her third in the “York Harbor” series. Patchwork to Healing was released June 21 by Howland Press.
It is a full-length, contemporary, romantic fiction novel that takes place in York Harbor, Maine; and Portsmouth, N.H. It tells of Rebecca Mills, a former teen of the foster care system, who suffers from the guilt of her parents’ death. Now, she and Ben Daly, her foster brother, are each in search of forgiveness, and a place to belong, as they attempt to fulfill their foster mother’s dying wish.
“Being a writer, in some format, has always been a dream of mine. Since the time I was a small child, I would write skits, and songs; I love being able to create something from nothing,” Colters said. “As an adult, I realized that writing wasn’t just for entertainment but a way to make an impact in someone’s life: be it a change in perspective or in heart. Words, whether spoken or written, can move people.”
Her books are available anywhere books are sold.
