Six years ago, my husband and I invested in solar panels for our house. We were fortunate. We both had the funds to invest and were able to take advantage of the rebates offered by the federal government for installation of solar panels. While we will continue to benefit from our solar array this summer, our friends and neighbors will be hit by a 50% rate increase on their electrical service costs thanks to Governor Sununu and his Republican legislature’s failure to support alternative energy projects.
This is outrageous. It will hit low income residents the hardest, at a time when we are all suffering from the impact of inflation. It’s time to replace our New Hampshire state leadership. And time to seriously take on supporting alternative energy efforts and development of alternative energy technology.
