The owners are new and so is the name but nothing else has changed at the popular White Mountain Gourmet Coffee on Pleasant Street, which is now The Bean & Bakery — at least, not yet.

“In the future, we’re looking to add lunch,” said Tracy Taylor, who now owns the Bean & Bakery with her husband, Kevin.

The shop is still serving pastries and many varieties of White Mountain coffee and still has the old sign outside (with a banner in the window) while the owners await delivery of a new sign. Hours are still the same: Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Tracy Taylor worked at White Mountain several years ago.

The ownership change was announced July 2 on social media and the coffee shop reopened under its new ownership on Thursday.

Concord is a city that likes to stay caffeinated and has two other popular downtown coffee shops. The Brothers’ Cortado, formerly True Brew, is located in Bicentennial Square, while The Works Cafe is located directly on North Main Street. Other coffee shops include Revelstoke, Teetotaler and Gibson’s Bookstore Cafe on Main Street and Eatxactly Sweet Cafe in Eagle Square.

Editor’s note: This article was updated to include more downtown coffee shops, which were omitted from the original version.
