Fiber artist and mixed media sculptor Rachel Montroy will demonstrate her felting techniques at Twiggs Gallery on July 16 from 11 to 12:30 p.m. Drop in to learn how she needle felts three dimensional forms, felts around a wire armature, and how she combines wool with other materials.

Montroy is an advocate and pioneer of craft, working as the education and community outreach coordinator at the League of NH Craftsmen where she is a juried member. She is an adjunct professor at Saint Anselm College and the NHTI and a faculty member at the Currier Museum Art Center. She is currently showing several of her works in “WOOL: A Contemporary Fiber Art Exhibition” at Twiggs Gallery, which showcases artists working with fiber in a variety of different ways.
