Two Concord brothers achieved the rank of Eagle Scout this weekend. Colin Sheehan, 17, a rising senior at Concord High School and Ryan Sheehan, 18, a 2022 Concord High School graduate, were honored in a Court of Honor ceremony Sunday at their family home. The scouts are both members of Troop 88.

Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America.ย To become an Eagle, a scoutย must display leadership, earn 21 merit badgesย andย complete an Eagle Service Project that will benefit the community.

For his project, Colin Sheehan built a bee hotelย to serve asย housing for solitary tunnel-nesting bees, aiding in bee conservation. The hotel has been placed on the grounds of the McLane Audubon Center.

Ryan Sheehan built seven benches for theย Society for Preservation of New Hampshire Forests, that were placed along the Merrimack River. In the fall, Ryan Sheehan will attend Allegheny College in Pennsylvania.
