Led by former Navy SEALs, employees and customers from New Hampshire companies participated in a colorful team-building event as part of a week of activities and fundraisers to support veterans.
Thursday’s activity was “Paintball with a Mission” held at OSG Paintball in Barnstead.
“What we do here helps veterans with mental health issues, including paying for service dogs for veterans, art therapy, equine immersion programs and more,” said Phil Taub, who is co-founder of the organization Swim with a Mission.
Friday featured “Green Beret with a Mission,” where teams completed Special Forces mission tasks on an obstacle course designed to challenge them physically and mentally.
Saturday morning called for getting wet in Newfound Lake for the annual Swim with a Mission, where individuals or teams could swim up to 10k to raise money and honor the state’s veterans.
“The need remains great for our veterans, many of whom have unique needs that are tied directly to what they experienced serving our country,” said Taub.
The series of events will conclude with a Celebration of Heroes at Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester Saturday at 4 p.m. The celebration will feature demonstrations from the Navy SEALs and Army Green Berets, along with active presentations from the NH National Guard, NH State Police, and Manchester Police K9 Unit.
Tickets are available at swam.org. All the proceeds raised go to help veterans.
