Last weekend, NASCAR’s best came to New Hampshire to compete at Loudon’s New Hampshire Motor Speedway. One driver ventured to Lee Speedway for a Granite State Pro Stock Series race. And an area driver beat him.
Pembroke’s Casey Call won the Keen Parts 150 last Friday to claim $10,000, the Keen Cup and the distinction of beating NASCAR’s Tyler Reddick.
Call led for 149 of the 150 laps, edging Reddick by .060 seconds for the victory.
Reddick is currently ranked 11th in points in the NASCAR Cup Series and in position to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series playoffs.
The big win came in Call’s 24th series start, a year after he recorded his best career finish – a second-place showing at Hudson Speedway. For the second year in a row, GSPSS’ longest and richest race of the year has been won by a first-time winner.
The Granite State Pro Stock Series schedule resumes on Aug. 12 at Claremont Motorsports Park.
