An upcoming exhibit at Two Villages Art Society presents the work of three Rotary Club members who use their talent and skill to support good works around the world. “Pixels, Wood, Clay” is on display Aug. 12 through Sept. 3 at the Bates Building, 846 Main St., in Hopkinton.

Hopkinton photographer Tony Gilmore captures nuanced images of nature and man-made objects, taken in his extensive travels with non-profits such as Water for the World. Woodturner Rick Manganello of Hudson, creates wooden bowls and other objects, many of which he donates to Rotarian-supported projects and other worthwhile causes. Caren Helm, owner of Pizzazz Pottery in Vermont, creates functional and sculptural hand-built and wheel-thrown stoneware.

“I have volunteered on many Rotary International humanitarian missions to Honduras, Cambodia, and Vietnam,” Helm said. She enjoys feeling that her work helps to sustain, elevate, and bring joy to a world that suffers, struggles, and searches for energy to renew life.

“Our Rotary clubs do so much for our communities,” said Alyssa McKeon, president of Two Villages Art Society. “I’m grateful to be able to shine the light back on them with ‘Pixels, Wood, Clay.’ We’re excited for our community to get to know three Rotarians better through their artwork.”

“Pixels, Wood, Clay” is open to the public free of charge Thursday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. There will be an opening reception with the artists Aug. 13 from noon to 2 p.m. Hopkinton musician Brad Myrick will provide music at the reception.
