The Republicans have a simple strategy for the 2022 and 2024 elections. First, constantly claim that the country is worse now than it was under Trump. Second, make things as bad as possible and block as much as possible. Third, blame everything and anything bad that happens on the Democrats. Meanwhile, they don’t offer any ideas on the bread-and-butter issues most people are concerned about.
There are two problems with this tactic. First, during Trump’s term the unemployment rate hit over 20%, people got into fist fights over toilet paper, and the Capital was attacked. Is that what you call better? Second, the Democrats have passed bills increasing veteran’s benefits, setting up a program to manufacture computer chips in the U.S., improving infrastructure and improving the environment, without a single Republican vote. Think about it, every Republican voted against veterans and American workers, several openly saying they didn’t want Biden to get a “win.” They have openly said they want Biden to “lose.” Apparently if that takes throwing most of the populace under the bus, so be it. What we can be sure the Republicans will do is fight the “culture wars.” They are all in on attacking women’s rights, burning books, and determining who and whom you can marry all in the name of “freedom.” Whether you vote freedom first, the economy first, or the environment first, the clear choice is to vote Democratic.
