Despite former statements that they have all made, if you ask the newly anointed GOP nominees for Congress, if they will vote to ban abortion, they will likely equivocate just as the recent Supreme Court nominees did during their confirmation hearings before the Senate. Please don’t fall for this. If voters send them to Washington be assured they will fall in line with the doctrine just laid down by Sen. Lindsey Graham: they will vote for a national ban on abortions.

Don Bolduc has already begun to backtrack on his noncommittal comments on election night. And even though the opinion in the SCOTUS rejection of Roe v. Wade stated that this decision should be left up to each state, we will then witness a reversal of that opinion when the inevitable challenge goes to the Supreme Court, which will then declare that a national ban is somehow then constitutional. We cannot trust the changing positions of GOP candidates. That’s why we need to vote for Sen. Hassan and Reps. Annie Kuster and Chris Pappas, proven, consistent protectors of women’s reproductive rights on Nov. 8.
