Two victims were transported to Concord Hospital Monday morning after their vehicles collided head-on on the Concord side of the Hannah Dustin Bridge.
The initial call, which came in around 9:30 a.m., reported a motor vehicle crash with entrapment, said Concord Fire Captain Christopher Dolloff. Upon arrival, emergency crews found one vehicle on its side with a female victim trapped inside.
Using electric-powered tools, the victim was extracted from the vehicle within 10 minutes and transported to the hospital, Dolloff said. The second vehicle remained upright but sustained heavy damage. The driver was also transported to the hospital.
The status of their injuries was unknown, but Dolloff said they were alert and conscious at the scene of the crash. Both victims were the single occupants of the vehicles.
The Concord Fire Department was assisted by the Boscawen and Penacook fire departments. The crash remains under investigation.
