I urge the governor and NHDOT to build the tunnel option on the rail trail in Londonderry by Exit 4A. Its safer and more direct than the spaghetti alternatives being suggested by NHDOT. That section of rail trail is on one of the most important long rail trails being built in New Hampshire. Itโs important for both tourism and bicycle commuters.
Safety and efficiency for riders matter. This trail, part of the Granite State Rail Trail, is our interstate. At a time when we are building open road tolls for cars, introducing an option requiring a significant route diversion and/or a pedestrian crossing signal is counter to what people want.
