Are you tired of extremist positions, violent rhetoric and misleading campaign ads? Don’t let the polarization of current politics keep you from voting. If you live in NH Senate District 17 (Allenstown, Barnstead, Canterbury, Chichester, Deerfield, Epsom, Loudon, Northfield, Northwood, Nottingham, Pembroke and Pittsfield) you have a good choice for your vote. Christine Tappan is running to fill the seat vacated by Sen. John Reagan. I first met Christine early in her career when she was the family centered services specialist at DCYF, working to keep families safe. As an advocate for battered women and their children, I appreciated how well Christine understood the unique challenges abused women face in protecting their children.
So I agree with Sen. Reagan when he says about Christine, “I know she will represent our communities with character, integrity and independence.” Christine is smart, reasonable, and accomplished. She’s busy meeting with voters throughout the district to listen and understand what matters to them. Christine is an Army veteran, corporate manager, small business owner, previous teacher, social worker, and served as an associate commissioner of Health and Human Services, appointed by Gov. Sununu and unanimously confirmed by Republicans and Democrats on the Executive Council. Christine’s impressive experience clearly demonstrates that she knows how government works and she knows how important it is to support families. Regardless of your political party, Chris is clearly a better choice for Senate District 17.
