The driver of a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck crashed into the back of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 93 in Bow Thursday morning and later died, police said.
The Bow Fire Department arrived on scene at 6:30 a.m. and began performing CPR on the man, who was taken to Concord Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The operator of the tractor-trailer, who is cooperating with police, was uninjured.
Two lanes of I-93 south were shut down for around two hours while New Hampshire State Police investigated and cleared the scene.
The name of the man who died in the crash will be released once his family is notified, police said. The crash remains under investigation.
