Girls’ Soccer

Coe-Brown 3, Plymouth 0

Key players: Coe-Brown – Bella Lapierre (2 goals), Kaylee Vayda (goal), Maggie Escabi (assist), Jennifer Noni (assist), Mary Joy (assist)

Highlights: Lapierre scored twice with beautifully played passes from Escabi and another from Noni. Kaylee Vayda had a ESPN worthy leaping volley on a corner kick from Joy to seal the win and put the Bears up 3-0. Katie Pease earned the shutout in goal. Excellent play from Noni, Sammy Perron, Lily Wolf, and Mary Joy helped the Bears secure a home playoff game next Tuesday. This will mark the first home playoff game for the Bears since the fall 2013-2014 season.

Coach’s quote: “It’s always bitter sweet on senior night, but knowing we still get to play another game on our home field is great for these girls. They have worked incredibly hard to get to this point and they have earned the right to be proud of their play and all they have accomplished so far. The division is always the most competitive from top to bottom and this year is no different.” – Coe-Brown’s Josh Hils
