No. 7 Bishop Brady 2, No. 2 Newfound 1

Key players: Bishop Brady – Laura Yap (2 goals), Margaret Sheehan (assist), Ava Archambault (8 saves), Kylee Potter (defense), Reese Pelletier (defense), Danielle Lacourse (defense); Newfound – Isa LaPlume (goal), Allie Normandin (6 saves)

Highlights: Yap put Brady on the board in the first quarter off a corner at 6:51 with an assist by Sheehan and Yap stepped up again by netting a penalty stroke at 5:56. The Bears pressed with six corners in the third quarter and LaPlume put Newfound on the board with 12:41 left in the fourth, but Brady’s backfield and Archambault stepped up. Pelletier broke up several runs by Newfound and forwards Kimble Rose and Carly Fuller kept the pressure on Newfound’s defense; Sheehan, Gabby Heck and Payton Bryson worked every inch of the field, Archambault made a couple of great saves, and the defense did a good job clearing the ball as Bishop Brady upset the Bears. The Giants will play No. 3 Newport in Tuesday’s Division III semifinal at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Exeter’s Bill Ball Stadium.

Key players: MV – Buddy Eddy (TD run), Braden Hussey (88 yard kickoff return TD), Cam Chevarie (37 yard TD run), Aidan Monaghan, Travis Garcia (3-for-3 extra point kicks), offensive and defensive lines

Highlights: Eddy scored in first quarter to give the Pride an early 7-0 lead and the two teams traded kickoff return touchdowns as MV took a 14-7 lead into halftime. Kennett tied it 14-14 in the third quarter before Chevarie’s run put the Pride back on top, 21-14, in the fourth quarter, but the Eagles tied the game with 1:07 left in regulation and eventually won the game in overtime.

Highlights: The Falcons scored three goals in the first half to top the Generals in the regular-season finale. Bow will be the No. 1 or No. 2 seed, while John Stark will be No. 8 for the upcoming Division II tournament.

Highlights: The Raiders ended the season with their fourth straight win to secure the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Division III tournament. Belmont is unbeaten in its last eight matches.

Highlights: McIntyre fed Steigmeyer with the ball for the game-winning goal in the 63rd minute on Senior Day. Bishop Brady and H-D will both play in the D-III tournament.

Coe-Brown 3, Kingswood 0

Key players: Coe-Brown – Noelle Sartin (6 kills, 3 digs), Lily Silvester (14 digs, ace), Emma Broadstone (4 kills), setters Jordan Gilbert, Julie Anderson and Maya Barthel (combined for 17 assists and set the team to a .259 hitting percentage)

Highlights: The Bears swept the Knights, 25-10, 25-10, 25-11, in the final match of the regular season. Coe-Brown will be a top two seed for the Division II postseason tournament.

Coach’s quote: “Tonight was Senior Night and the team was on fire. We ran a few different lineups to showcase and support our seniors and the team truly showed their flexibility. Senior Night is always an emotional night, especially with nine seniors.
