What have Republican legislators done in recent years that would give any voter confidence that they have any ideas, plans or intentions to provide relief to our uneven economy and rising inflation? They certainly have not provided these plans. If the current woes are all the fault of the Biden administration and Democratic legislators, why is it that the rest of the world is suffering the same difficulties? Has Biden caused the economic problems now being experienced in China or in England and the rest of Europe? Why is it that so many voters think they will need to vote in Republicans to change course?

Our recent history of Republican economic policy leadership has not been stellar. If one digs a little, it is easy to attribute the healthy stock market gains to the Obama administration. The massive tax cut that was rammed through in 2017 did nothing to help the vast majority of Americans; it only made big businesses and the super wealthy richer. The Supreme Court appointments led to the overturn of Roe v. Wade, a move that will be an economic disaster for girls and women for years to come. If voters really want things to improve, vote for the Democrats who in recent years have initiated all the policies and programs that are and will continue to help the most people.
