Lies are central to the rise of authoritarianism. Lies are the basis for replacing reality with conspiracy theories. Lies are the cause for the huge division of the citizens in this country. Lies undermine the rule of law and democracy. Now we have the “Big Lie” that Biden did not win the election because of fraud, yet the courts have found no significant evidence of fraud and still, a majority of the GOP continues to believe in the “Big Lie.”
The GOP extremists are trying to deny us the fundamental right of a democracy: the right to free and fair elections. If we lose this right then this great American experiment will have failed. We cannot let this happen, so how do we fight these lies and save our democracy? Vote for truth this Nov. 8, vote for Democrats!
