It is hard to believe anyone does not value good public education, or that anyone would work to do away with good public education. Governor Chris Sununu, and his education commissioner, Frank Edelblut, are unbelievable. You can believe Tom Sherman will do better, and you can trust him with your vote for governor. After he squeaked past Edelblut for the Republican nomination in 2016 and knowing he might not be so lucky next time, Sununu instead handed over the Education Department to Edelblut. In that role, Edelblut has put good public education at risk. And Sununu has been glad to help him.
Sununu and Edelblut have diverted precious tax dollars to private schools through charter schools and “school vouchers.” Like the Spanish Inquisition or the Taliban, Sununu and Edelblut have imposed a vague ban on any teaching that might touch on “divisive concepts.” And Sununu and Edelblut have done nothing at all to fix our antiquated burdensome education funding system. By contrast, Tom Sherman voted against the “divisive concepts” ban; Dr. Sherman voted against vouchers that send public dollars to private schools; and Tom supports fairer education funding. Please vote to un-do Sununu and Edelblut’s educational malevolence. Please vote for Tom Sherman for governor, and please ask everyone you know to join you.
