CANTERBURYTree lighting

■ Center Christmas Tree Lighting will be Dec. 2, at 5:30 p.m.   We will light the tree and join together to sing some carols. ■Canterbury 4H: We know kids are busy these days, but if yours are not involved (and having a blast) in 4-H, they’re missing out. Our club meets once a month during the school year–your kids don’t have to give up sports, band, etc. But adding 4-H to their lives will enhance their self-esteem, independence, helpfulness, and future potential.Give your kids a chance to explore what the Canterbury Rascals 4-H Club is all about, by bringing them to our Community Open House, on Dec. 5 at 6:30 p.m. at the Parish House (behind the Country Store in the Center). You can just drop by but, even better, please let us know that you plan to come, as well as how many kids you’re bringing; email Kim Scamman at kimscamman@hotmail.com no later than Dec. 2. In 4-H, youth complete hands-on projects in areas like agriscience, STEM, healthy living, and citizenship. 4-H’ers receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles.
