■The Book Club meets at the Franklin Public Library every second Thursday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in the upper room of the library. The book for Jan. 11 is Apples Never Fall by Liane Moriarty. You are welcome to come even if you have not read this book, come to get acquainted with the group. The book for February will be available at that time.

■The Franklin School Board meets on Dec. 19 at 6 p.m. at the high school cafeteria. Visit sau18.org for the agenda and previous minutes.
■Enjoy a holiday luncheon at the TRIP Center on Dec. 22. Musical entertainment will be provided by David Jenne at 10:30 a.m. A delicious pot roast dinner will follow.
■A New Year’s Luncheon at the TRIP Center on Dec. 30. Enjoy a baked ham dinner with all the fixings. A roulette game will follow lunch. The public is welcome. Any questions, call (603) 934-4151.
■There are new activities to register for at Parks and Recreation, Bessie Rowell Community Center, for the New Year. The registration deadline is Jan. 6, 2023 for youth basketball ages three to six years old to learn the basics of the sport.
■Also, at Parks & Recreation, a babysitting course will take place on Jan. 22, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for ages 12 and up. Space is limited so register as soon as possible. There is a fee of $110. Call (603) 934-2118.
