A city-wide parking ban will begin Wednesday night in the city of Concord following the issuance of a second winter storm warning this week.

City officials ordered all residents to refrain from parking on any street beginning Wednesday night from midnight to 7 a.m. on Thursday.

Free parking is available in the city garages starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday through 8 a.m. Thursday morning, city officials said.

Penacook residents are encouraged to park at the Canal Street Municipal Parking Lot at the corner of Village Street and Canal Street.

Cars will be towed and ticketed if parked on city streets overnight.

Since the first ban was put into place on Friday, 66 cars have been towed.
