In Concord Parks & Recreation High School Basketball, the Blue Knights (6-3) defeated the Orange Team, 36-33, to win the championship. Jackson Borkush scored 14 points while James Langdon chipped in nine and Tegan Adams scored seven. The team consisted of JP Nkurunziza, Moses Carr, Carsen Miller, Jadyn Ruiz, Adams, Langdon, Borkush, JD Nzeyimana, Jackson Harerimana and Mozamel Mohamed. The team was coached by Gary Ford.

Tryouts/Registrations

Hillsboro-Deering High School spring sports practices/tryouts begin on Monday at the following times and locations: track and field, HDHS cafe, 3-4:30 p.m.; boys’ lacrosse, HDHS gym, 3:30-5 p.m.; baseball, HDHS gym, 5:15-6:45 p.m.; softball, HDHS, 7-8:30 p.m.; girls’ lacross, John Stark Regional High School gym, 7-9 p.m. All athletes trying out must have a current physical on file with the school nurse or have one ready to turn in to their coach. All athletes trying out must also have current Impact test results readily available if needed. All athletes are responsible for their own hydration for the entirety of the season.

Concord Little League registration is open. Concord Little League serves the entire towns of Concord, Bow, Hopkinton, Henniker, Penacook and Loudon. If your son/daughter is between ages 4-13, register them at concordnhlleague.com. The league offers five levels of baseball: Tee-ball (A), Coach Pitch (AA), Minors (AAA), Majors and a new Intermediate league (13 year olds on a 50/70 diamond). Concord Northeast Baseball and Softball registration is now open. Concord Northeast offers t-ball (ages 4-6), softball (8U through age 16) and baseball (coach pitch, AA/AAA, majors and Babe Ruth). Softball is open to Concord residents. T-ball and baseball are open to kids who live in or attend school in Concord, Hopkinton or Pembroke. Register at concordnortheast.com.
