The Concord High School JV boys’ lacrosse team defeated Dover, 7-2. Tyler Morin (three goals), Liam Yeaton (three goals, assist), Harry Snow (goal), Chad LaRiviere (goal, assist), Ben Ryder (two assists) and Brady Dussault (assist) contributed to Concord’s scoring.
■The Concord JV softball team pick up a win against Keene. Jaylyn Wessling threw a one-hitter for the win in the circle with 10 strikeouts. Wessling helped her cause with two runs, three hits and two RBI. Kaylie Hughes (four runs, double, two RBI), Sophia Vargas (four runs, three doubles, two RBI) and Carmen Ahern (run, hit, RBI) led the offense. Laura Lorenze was solid at first base to anchor the defense.
■The Concord JV softball team defeated Dover, 13-1. Avery MacDonald got the win in the circle, scattering four hits with six strikeouts. MacDonald helped her cause with two runs, a triple and three RBI. Georgia Nolan (two runs, two hits, RBI) and Laura Lorenze (two runs, two hits, RBI) played well on offense, while Carmen Ahern was solid behind the plate to help secure the win.
■The Concord High reserve baseball team fell to Dover, 7-4. Tommy Weaver had two hits and an RBI. Isaac Vaillancourt, Alex Turant, Cody Gamache and Noah Chrabalowski each had hits. Chrabalowski also went four innings on the mound, striking out six. Kale Washburn went two innings with two strikeouts and Vaillancourt closed out the game with six strikeouts.
Andrew King (eight strikeouts in four innings) and Aidan O’Keeffe (one inning) combined for a no-hitter as Bow Memorial defeated Gilbert H. Hood. O’Keeffe also led Bow at the plate, going 2-for-2 with five RBI. Troy Konstantakos also had two hits.
The Concord Crush U8 girls’ team lost to Timberlane, 13-6. Waverly Proulx (five goals) and Clair Wolcott (goal) led the offense. Ada Bartlett and Ada Estabrook played strong defense, while Matilda Lenhart, Violet West and Chelsea Reedenaur tore up and down the field in midfield positions. Katie Lovell and Violet Curren split the game in goal, both making several saves.
■The Concord Crush girls U10 lost to Bedford, 14-5. Concord’s offense was led by Reese Nelson, Evie Landry, Gia D’Alessandro and Mae Clattenburg. The defense was led by Marion Diaz, Medhoh Hills and Aria Raycraft.
■The Concord Crush 14U girls swept a pair of games last weekend, beating Timberlane, 10-6, and Oyster River, 11-6. Malie Ramshaw, Gracen Arndt, Brooke Nelson, Sadie Pelletier, Sydney Brown and Olivia Page provided the offense. Lucie Valle, Tadu Sirois, Kyla Ngu and Emelia Raimo were solid on defense. Abby Poole played excellent in goal in both games. Concord improved to 4-0 this season.
In Concord Little League AAA Action, Associated Grocers defeated CertaPro Painters, 14-2. Dylan Tucker was 3-for-3 at the plate, including a bases clearing triple. Casey Hazzard contributed to the offense. Sam Sexton played great at catcher. For CertaPro, JJ Doucette pitched well in his debut on the mound and added a huge hit. Calvin Ingram was superb at catcher and Max Kazakis added a hit and shined at first base.
■ In Concord Northeast Babe Ruth baseball, Rowley Agency defeated Banks Chevrolet, 8-7. Isaac Black drove in two runs in the top of the seventh to tie the game for Banks, and he and Cameron Smith came around to score later in the inning to take a 7-5 lead. Rowley came back in the bottom of the seventh with runs scored by Brody Rosetti, Jack Noel and Camden Haskell to win the game.
■Concord Police Patrolmen’s Association defeated Kiwanis, 6-4, on the opening day of Concord Babe Ruth play. For Kiwanis, David Ostrowski had an RBI double and Jayden Daniels was impressive on the mound, striking out four in two innings of work. For CPPA, Evan Newton set the tone with excellent defense in center field. Lucas Golden scored two runs and played well behind the plate. Kole Hines earned the save in his first Babe Ruth pitching appearance.
Epsom U10 softball opened the season last weekend with a loss. Bailey Auger made her pitching debut, throwing four innings with 11 strikeouts. Parker Ferry stepped into the circle for her first inning and struck out three batters. Aisleigh Barker caught a clean game behind the plate. Epsom’s offense driven by base hits from Vera Hunt, Julia Towne, Lauren Coitnoir and aggressive base running from Delia Towne.
