Concord won the District 2 Babe Ruth 13-15 year old All-Star Tournament with a come-from-behind 7-6 victory over Keene. Colin Savard, Tyler Mayo, Wyatt Rockwell, Isaac Vaillencourt and Brody Rossetti all had big hits. Patrick Owen was great in the field and closed out the game with some clutch pitching.
■The Concord 10U Little League All-Stars defeated Portsmouth, 16-1, to improve to 2-0 in the District 2 Little League Tournament. Bennett Pouliot pitched all three innings, allowing just a single hit while striking out five. Every member of the Concord team crossed the plate while pounding out a total of 13 hits. Patrick Fennessy, Hendrix Hildum and Maddox Harvey had two hits apiece.
Crimson Tide Tennis Camp, hosted by Concord High boys’ and girls’ varsity coaches Kevin Parsons and Greg Malette, will be held this summer for Rundlett and Derryfield boys and girls going into grades 5-9 next school year. Crimson Tide Basketball Camps, hosted by Concord High boys’ varsity coach Tim LaTorra, will be held this summer for boys and girls going into grades 3-9 of next school year. The camps will be held at Concord High from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Girls’ camp week will be Monday-July 21 and the boys’ week will be July 24-28. Spartan Basketball Camp will run July 31-Aug. 4 for any players in grades 4-12. The camp will be held at Pembroke Academy and will be led by Pembroke Academy boys’ basketball coaches Mike Donnell, Jim Cilley and Julia Valotto. There are only 20 spots open for each group. Boys and girls in grades 4-6 will meet from 8:30-10 a.m., boys in grades 7-8 will meet from 10:30 a.m. to noon, girls in grades 7-8 will meet from 12:30-2 p.m., boys in grades 9-12 will meet from 2:30-4 p.m. and girls in grades 9-12 will meet from 4:30-6 p.m. The camp will include both offensive and defensive drills, and scrimmages.
