This past week’s stretch of hot, sticky weather will move out starting this weekend, leaving Concord and surrounding areas with a very tolerable forecast with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s. We’ll likely get some thunderstorms and showers today, but after that, it’ll be a run of mostly sunny skies as we kick off the first week of August. See the weather forecast on A6.

While it’s still too early to get a handle on the forecast for the following weekend, many in these parts are on the lookout in preparation for the 41st annual Hot Air Balloon Rally in Pittsfield Aug. 4-6. That event is very weather-dependent, and a popular draw when they get the all-clear.
