Highlights: MV did a good job possessing the ball, but failed to build it in the attacking third. After a tied game in the first half, the Pride applied enough pressure to the Bobcat defense to score the game-winner.
Coach’s quote: “It was an exciting home opener. We moved the ball around well and controlled the midfield. Continued pressure and shifting opened up some room for two brilliant goals. Lila Gray scored with a strong driven ball to the corner and then Jules Palhof scored after with a long bending ball right over top of the keeper. It was scary defending until the end.
