I am writing to urge you to vote for Noemi Wierwille for Ward 5 city councilor.
My reasoning is quite simple: both candidates share similar policy positions and seem passionate about improving life in Concord. We are indeed fortunate for that. However, I believe it is especially important – with a new mayor and potentially several new councilors – that Ward 5 be represented by someone who has strong relationship skills.
Noemi possesses the ability to work with people of all stripes. She does this every day in her work at Teach for America. She is easy to talk to and a thoughtful listener. These are qualities that I feel are critical to creating a positive atmosphere in the council. Plus, she possesses a secret weapon: an easy-going, light-hearted sense of humor! In times of uncertainty, we need more of that.
