Andru Volinsky’s Letter to the Editor was noteworthy for not what he said. It was noteworthy for what he didn’t say. He never mentioned the hostages who were taken on Oct. 7 by Hamas. For him, and for many these people have become irrelevant, people who apparently have no value and can be forgotten. Many may never be found alive, many have already been brutally killed.
It continues to amaze that we hear regularly from people in the Monitor who clamor for a cease fire but have forgotten those who have been lost on Oct. 7 or have been tortured so that life will never be the same. They deserve justice.
