The Concord Police Department closed off several blocks of South State Street on Wednesday afternoon after a motorcycle and a U.S. Postal Service vehicle collided near the intersection with Concord Street.

The motorcyclist is being evaluated at Concord Hospital, according to a Concord police officer on the scene. The department has not yet disclosed the USPS driverโ€™s condition.

Another on-duty police officer estimated the call came in shortly after 3 p.m. As of 5:30 p.m., the Concord Police Department was still scanning and clearing the scene.
