Arts Alley, the newly minted colorful complex between the BNH stage and the Co-op, aims to become a new center of gravity for local live music, food and events downtown. With a trendy brunch restaurant, the Friendly Toast, as its anchor, a rooftop bar and, in time, a Nashville-style bar, the package will add to Main Streetโs offerings from pleasant mornings through into nightlife.
On Friday evening, the courtyard will kick off its summer concert series alongside the opening of Rose & Rye, a retro, traincar-style diner serving up nostalgia-fare from hotdogs to milkshakes.
The Friendly Toast, the โall day brunch and barโ with fourteen other locations across New England, is expected to open before the fall. Dukeโs, a Nashville-inspired restaurant and bar set behind the new building, will open next year.
The project, owned by Duprey Hospitality, has been in the works for years, and broke ground last summer. Friday nightโs concert, beginning at 5:30 p.m. marks its grand opening.
