A Concord 29-year-old has been identified as the person whose body was found in the woods near Memorial Field in June.

Tim Russell was found by members of a local softball league on June 23. Russell’s family, per social media posts, has been searching for him since just a few days before he was found.

His cause of death is still pending, Concord Police said.

Russell was found at what appeared to be a campsite. In posts online searching for him, his family noted that he was unhoused and often stayed in local parks.

A celebration of life will be held on August 23, and a fundraiser for his family and funeral arrangements has been shared online.
