My mother was German. No one ever said about anyone speaking against Hitler’s actions or criticizing Germany’ government in the 30s that they were against her or the entire German race worldwide. I’m sick and tired of politicians, including our four Democratic representatives, twisting any criticism of Israel into a charge of anti-Semitism.
It’s not. In fact, right now, Bob Sanders, a Jewish Concord citizen is biking 4,000 miles across America to protest Israel’s treatment of the Palestinian people. He’s no anti-Semite. Rather, he is a humanitarian with a strong moral conscience. I applaud him and join him in expressing my disdain for what Israel is doing to the Palestinian people with US military support. That doesn’t make me an anti-Semite.
I wish our four NH representatives and Senators could find the moral courage to speak out against the barbarism taking place in the West Bank and Gaza as well but I know they won’t. They receive too much money from AIPAC to do so. Meanwhile, those of us who share universal humanitarian and true moral values can and should.
