In 1977, Netanyahu’s Likud party stated “between the [Mediterranean] Sea and the Jordan [River] there will be only Israel sovereignty,” leaving no room for Palestine. Netanyahu repeated this just last year. In 1988, Hamas’ platform called for the same area, “from the river to the sea,” to be under Palestinian control. It has been roundly condemned – but Netanyahu’s equivalent statement wasn’t. Black is White. Up is Down.
Israel has complete control over the borders of West Bank and Gaza — who and what is allowed in or out. Israel controls Palestinian life, water, building permits, and its economy. Israel has an army, navy and air force while Palestine has none. Israel has the overwhelming power to withhold all food and water from Palestinians in Gaza, prevent them from fleeing, and drop 2,000 lb. bombs on them killing over 50,000. Yet, we’re told Israel faces an existential crisis from Hamas’ ragtag militia with homemade rockets?
Israel requires billions in American aid while it forces starvation on 2 million stateless Palestinians. Black is White. Up is Down. War is Peace.
