Selectman has Warner’s best interests at heart
The Monitor’s July 10th front page article regarding Warner’s Town Administrator being granted a restraining order against Selectman Alfred Hanson was completely one-sided and distorted. It’s not surprising that the writer was unsuccessful in her attempts to interview other people while an active investigation is still underway; perhaps she should have waited until this ‘breaking story’ consisted of more than one disgruntled employee airing her grievances.
I’ve known Mr. Hanson for over 30 years and have found him to be an honest, kind, and hardworking man who has given many hours of volunteer service to our town. He has served on our Budget Committee for 13 years and in March of this year, he was elected, by a large margin, to serve on our Select Board. I’ve attended several Select Board meetings in the past few months and Mr. Hanson was always present, actively engaged, and respectful toward others. He does not appear to have a personal agenda; he simply wants to find out what is best for the Town and then help to make it happen.
