I care deeply about the Concord Monitor, and am constantly telling people that they should subscribe for trustworthy local and state news. Recently, there have been articles that have not been thoroughly researched and are disseminating incorrect information. The information could have been corroborated with phone calls. Some examples: both the RTK Ombudsman and the administrator of the YDC Settlement Fund did not resign, they were eliminated (there is a bigger story there that I would like to see follow up on); the city DEIJ commission did not reject the consultants report (a small print retraction does not serve the public); and I know there is someone running for the Ward 6 City Council position (did the reporter call the city clerk to determine if anyone had filed to run?) I want to trust that I am getting good information from the Monitor, but these oversights are shaking my trust and your credibility. From an adoring but not naive fan, Sarah Chaffee.
