I would like to reiterate again what a morally bankrupt and cowardly person Senator Maggie Hassan has shown herself to be regarding her continued cover for the genocidal campaign being waged by Israel. In a recent response emailed to me from Senator Hassan, she states: “The humanitarian situation in Gaza long ago crossed a crisis point and is both horrifying and outrageous. I voted against the joint resolutions because blocking arm sales to Israel would not end the starvation but would embolden Hamas and undermine Israel’s security.” Think about that. On the one hand, Hassan said the humanitarian crisis is “horrifying and outrageous,” but on the other hand she votes to send military aid to the very government that is carrying out the acts that are causing mass starvation and blocking medical aid to Gaza. It is inhumane and she is shameful. Yet she continues to beat the drum for Israel and throw dollar after dollar to a country that doesn’t care about human rights. The government of Israel this week announced they would build an additional 3,400 to 3,500 illegal settlements on land stolen from the Palestinians in the West Bank while settlers continue to murder Palestinians there. The Israeli government now says this expansion in the West Bank is part of the Greater Israel Cause with the stated goal of ending any thoughts of a Palestinian state. It has all been an illusion when our politicians state that a two-state solution is the goal. It’s all a big lie and funded largely by our taxpayers dollars.
