Trump’s Central Casting and Loyalty Consequences

Cabinet officials and their underlings are chosen to promote and foster a president’s political agenda. For President Trump, “central casting” and “unquestioned loyalty” are essential requirements.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth compromised security protocol, politicized the military, negated diversity in the ranks and, reportedly, stopped military aid to Ukraine without presidential authorization. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem promoted the likes of “Alligator Alcatraz” and mandated more “red tape” to FEMA’s protocol, delaying critical response to the Texas flooding disaster. Immigration Czar Tom Homan and Presidential Advisor Stephen Miller targeted immigrant workers, families, law-abiding individuals and even U.S. citizens. Federalized National Guard units, deployed active duty Marines and masked agents escalated fear and magnified the cruelty of mass deportation policies. Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard citing Russian Interference investigations, accused former president Barack Obama of treasonous intent to undermine President Trump’s first term.

Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. decimated the CDC and NIH, cut cancer research funding, mishandled the measles outbreak, fired vaccinations experts and infected the agency with non-scientific conspiracy theorists. Attorney General Pam Bondi compromised the agency’s independence, weaponized the Justice department, firing and demoting individuals and eliminating entities President Trump perceives as enemies.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche interviewed convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell, declared Trump’s non-involvement in the Epstein case and orchestrated the unexplained transfer of Maxwell to a minimum security prison. Unfortunately, this is by no means an exclusive or exhaustive accounting. We deserve experience, expertise and accountability from our government officials.
