The woman killed in a collision on Loudon Road last month has been identified by police as Concord resident Elaine Adams.

Adams, 59, worked in food service at The Birches at Concord assisted living facility, frequented the Bean and Bakery coffee shop downtown and was a devoted parent to two daughters, according to an obituary.

Concord Police responded to the collision on Loudon Road not long before noon on Aug. 4. Another driver at the restaurant reported seeing a blue Porsche Cayenne strike Adams as the young woman behind the wheel, whose name has not been released, pulled out of the Burger King drive-through and onto Loudon Road.

Adams was taken to Concord Hospital with life-threatening injuries, which she succumbed to later that day.

Adams’ obituary described her as a decade-long member of the Destiny Christian Church, a coffee-lover and a friendly Birches employee since 2018. She “had a deep love for walking and was often seen strolling through the streets of Concord,” it said.

Police are still investigating the collision, according to Lieutenant Thomas Yerkes.
