A 19-year-old was hospitalized with serious injuries after he crashed his ATV while operating at “unreasonable speed” in Weare Saturday afternoon.

Wesley Olmeda Baez crashed on the Bassett Mill Loop Trail just after 3 p.m. on Sept. 6, according to New Hampshire Fire and Game. He was ejected from the machine during the crash and was taken to Concord Hospital with serious injuries.

Officials said the ATV’s unreasonable speed was a main factor in the crash.
